This week, I have selected these videos in honor of this incredible dancer. Tiler Peck consistently embodies impeccable technique, instinctual musicality, and heart all in one amazing package.
In my first selection, Peck dances the classic “Who Cares” by the great George Balanchine at the Kennedy Center Honors, the second one she dances with her partner on and off the stage, Robert Fairchild. As she states so well in this piece, “the best dancing is honest dancing.”
In this selection, Peck talks about the challenges and glories in dancing a piece choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon. Wheeldon’s subtle details in his choreography are honored beautifully by Peck’s perfect execution. We see here that her enthusiasm and heart gives depth to masterful choreography.
Enjoy, and come back next week for your next dose of ballet inspiration!
